Description:  Solidago 'Baby Gold' is a cultivar raised for the cut flower market and is much more compact and diminutive compared to the species of S. canadensis.  It forms a lush clump of bright green stems that have bright yellow plumes of flowers in late summer that resemble fireworks.
 
Notes on cutting:  Solidago makes a great cut flower and with it's bright colour it makes a great filler, as well as used in a clustered plumes in an arrangement.  It is very productive but it all comes ready at once so you get a glut of it to use up asap - good thing it dries really well and holds it's golden colour.
