Planting Use: Herbaceous borders, cottage gardens and a cut flower.
 
Description: Forms a dense mound of lush green leaves with beautiful white flowers with pincushion centres and a large ray of gard petals.  Prefers a sunny site and requires good drainage, but is a pretty tolerant plant.  Definitely dislikes being crowded by weeds and takes a while to take off, but is partially drought tolerant once established, but performs best with adequate moisture.  Liked by bees and butterflies.
 
Notes on cutting: A fantastic cut flower -  its bloom size and stem length make it a star and unlike it’s annual counterparts it is delightfully easy to pick.  If picked when just opened it has a fantastic vase life.  It’s disk shape gives volume to an arrangement but with its flexible whimsical stems it also adds grace and movement. I really value it’s long flowering season, producing a moderate quantity of blooms right through the summer and autumn, it really pays for it's space in the garden.
