Description: A clump forming, lush perennial, with ladderlike feathery compound foliage. Tall stems in early summer bare simple open bell shaped, skyblue clusters of flowers. Beautiful in woodland or cottage gardens and especially lovely en mass. Polemonium prefer shade and moist but well drained soil. They make a great addition to any shady cut flower garden, but will also grow well in sun, if kept moist.
Notes on Cutting: Polemonium need to be picked in the coolest parts of the day and well hydrated and conditioned in deep cool water once picked. Polemonium can benefit from searing the ends in boiling water for 10-20 seconds to open the vascular tissue.
