Digitalis lanata ‘Cafe Creme’
Plantaginaceae
Sun to part shade
Ht. 60cm
1L recycled plastic pot
A beautiful and unique short lived perennial foxglove, with tall narrow flower stems covered in many tubular veined coffee coloured flowers, with a pronounced white tounge. First year seedlings produce lush green rosettes of leaves, that flower in their second year onward. Beautiful addition to woodland or cottage gardens, preferring sun to part shade.
Notes on cutting
Flower stems are beautiful vertical texture when cut, and the unique complex colour adds sophistication. Cut flowers in the cool of the day when a couple to a third of flowers on a stem are open.
*Please note, all parts of Digitalis are toxic if ingested by humans and animals, please take care when planting and cutting*
